every time I reboot I must "repair" the network
Everytime my internet disconnects (which isn't often) or I reboot I have to "repair" the network and everytime that it finishes it says this. "the default gateway is not available" My network adapter says its a realtek pcie gbe family controller and the modem I use is a 2wire modem from ATT. Also I'm using windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Hi, This should be the network card driver problem, I suggest reinstalling the driver first: NOTE: first, please go to computer manufacturer's website and download the network card driver. Reinstall driver ============== 1. Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter. 2. Double click to expand "Network adapters". 3. Right click your Network card and click Uninstall. 4. Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK. 5. Restart the computer If the computer cannot install built-in driver, please then install the downloaded one. If the issue persists, test it in Clean Boot mode. You can also try the following steps: Manually assign Global DNS server =========== 1. Click the Start Button, type "network and sharing center" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box and press Enter. 2. Click Change adaptor settings in the left pane. 3. Right-click on the network Connection and select Properties 4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties 5. In the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window, Select Use the following DNS server address. 6. Type as below: Preferred DNS as: 4.2.2.1 Alternate DNS is: 4.2.2.2Vivian Xing - MSFT
